Last Weekend Before Lent

The plaza has been lined with locals selling carnival paper crafts - flowers, puppets and clowns, which they make themselves - also cartons full of confetti-filled eggs




The Host leftovers - I've seen kids eating these as they walk around the plaza

The nuns have a table in the church courtyard and sell religious objects as well as cookies and drinks


The bell ringers have a full time job, he turns the bell 360 degrees by hand and has to keep it going - then to stop it he jumps up to it to slow it down.



Flower tiaras - many vendors around town - on weekends, young people are often wearing them





 Along with the flowers, and carnival puppetry, he vendors are selling egg shells, filled with confetti - so the kids were having fun cracking eggs on people's heads.
